Spanish Cross Next Of Kin revised

Dear all,

some months ago we discussed the Spanish Cross for the next of kin a bit. Gene produced a picture of a fine example with non cut out swastikas, telling us this is the only type he trusts.

I have been offered this example pictured here, which looks pretty good to me. Problem is, it does have CUT OUT swastikas. I checked all my refernce books and indeed some crosses pictured there DO have cutout swastikas (e.g. the one in Detlev Niemann´s price guide). What´s the deal here? I guess cutout is ok too? Check out the pics, the swastika disc is seperately applied btw.

I feel comfortable that this next of kin award you have pictured is original, and it is the first one with cut out swastikas I have seen that I trust.
