WW2 EK1 with .800 marks at the bottom

    Hey all,

Ive read that allot of eastern euro repros had .800 marked below the hook at the bottom.. i was wondering if any Original EK1s came with that marking, or is it a tell tale sign of a fake?

I have an original 800 stamped EK1 that is also factory vaulted:

Great to see you still have that one, Gene. One of the few where an 800 mark does not lead to suspicions!

            Gene, great cross.

Kreuzer - any ww2 EK1 with this type of marking is very rare. If somebody is offering you one, post pix here first. Don't let them rush you with "Well, somebody else offered me $xxx, you have to tell me now."

Some features it has seem legit, but it has that suspect L\54 and 800, ive read up heaps on ek1s on here and have become overloaded with info, so i leave it in the hands of seasoned experts :-)

                        IMO not original!

What gives it away as a repro

                            Hello,

it would be easy to say the cross as a whole.

                            Here some details:
                            - numbers of the date
                            - framecorners
                            - catch
                            - hindge
                            - needle
                            - stamp

                            Best Franki

The maker mark is not typical for this maker either.
