    1957 EK set

    EK2, EK1 and the bar to 1914 EK2 and the bar to 1914 EK1

The 1957 crosses above was made in the mid 80's thrugh the 90's.
A 1957 cross made in the late 50's and through the 60's and 70's will be of better quality with fine details and white frosting.
The crosses above are known for having the core painted after assembly, in which the core paint smear on the frame.
Early 1957 crosses had the core painted before assembly.

If you want real 1957 crosses, do not invest in those above.

    Cheers.

      I'm confused: only 1957 crosses from the 50s, 60s, & 70s are "real"?

I guess it is up to each and everyone what is real, but i prefer those made when German veterans was still highly active, when 1957 pieces still had good quality and when companys like Assmann, Deumer and S&L was still around. That is why i call them real. Look at the groupings that have surfaced that includes 1957 pieces. So far they have only had the early quality and not like the ones above.

        Cheers.
