I have an EK2 with the "starburst" on the outer edges of the rim but in looking at the crosses in the Iron Cross section, it appears to look the most like an Orth. It does have the rounded corners on the frame as well. Did Orth and Souval produce the same type of frames?

    Regards,

    James

The Orth EK1 does not have the "starburst" effect at the tips of the beading on the frame, but in looking at the Orth EK2 photo in the Iron Cross section, It appears to have this effect. I'm pretty much a beginner at trying to determine makers but have noticed a similarity in the frames of an Orth EK2 and a Souval EK1, the similarity being the rounded frame where the inner arms join and the "starburst" effect at the tips of the arms on the beading.

          James

Sorry if this is old news or has been discussed previously.

We never mind discussing things again. There is always a collector to whom the information is new.
(And frankly, I often have to read things ten different times before it finally sinks in! )
