    Court Mounted 1939 EK2

Picked this up the other day, looks exactly the same mounting as on page 231 of The Iron Times. Early unmarked cross with "rattly" core.

Reverse. Ignore the colour of the ribbon, it's my webcam.

        Hi Glen,
That's a nice Ek2 on a hard to find mount. I had a minty one a few years ago and let it go with a uniform I sold, my dumb a**. Wish I would have kept it, as you just don't see court mounted ones by them self, most had other ones with them.
        Nice find, Terry

Hi Glenn, that is a very nice mounted EKII. I like the ones with cores that rattle too.
              Cheers, Ade.

Very nice and rare to find single court mounted like this.

I was suprised when I asked the price and only paid £47-00 which seems to be the going rate for the average second class at fairs these days.

Glenn is the ribbon a deep red colour or is it more of an orange tinge?

I'd describe it as orangey/red. It's certainly not deep red. My webcam is quite primitive and doesn't convey colours too well.
