        I agree that the RK shown here is clearly a fake.

        As for the '800' issue, many, many known, proveable items from the 1939 - 1945 period are marked '800', which is for the silver content or silver purity, eg 800 parts silver per 1000. This is a long established and used continental silver content mark and will normally only be encountered on real silver items. Many WW2 Knights Crosses, of proveable known origin and provenance carry, among others, the '800' silver content mark to show the quality / purity of silver used in the manufacture of their frames.
