    Hi John

William Eicher the seller, who is also a forum member listed this piece a few months back on ebay, there was much talk about it, But no definitive conclusion was presented or agreed upon. I am sure if anyone has any new information or facts to present, we would all be keen to hear them.

    Here is the old thread:

One thing that caught my eye with the above item is that the ribbon has a very red centre stripe. Is this correct for Third Reich ribbon as I thought it should have an orange/red colour to it. Is this an accepted colour variation?

        Hi all.

The only thing I see is that the swastika is not centered. But I suppose that that will not be a problem. Is this the real thing??

One has to decide if they want a RK that has rounded corners. It's obviously pre LDO and it's a matter of personal choice. I think it was proven that the rounded corner versions were made and worn from evidence in German books on medals and period photos as mentioned on other threads. I agree with Carl on this one.

Bill has a great reputation among medal collectors outside the German arena and with many of us here. He had a PLM posted for sale a while back and once he was shown it's flaws as a copy in an Austrian coffin case he withdrew it and thanked us for the information. He acknowledged he had been taken by another and he pulled the item from sale. He's not out to mislead anyone. He has shown his intentions from his past actions.

So far everyone has been very objective. That is a good thing.
Lets discuss it if you like ,but please, no blanket attacks on a good guy, a fellow collector, and a personal friend. Thanks guys.

            good guy

            Hello,

I don't want to attack the guy, only a little discussion point. A few thinks I saw that I find a little bit strange. I could be wrong but is that fhenomenen common seen on KC's.
