Rare EKI Set Updated

Sorry about previous post (please remove if possible). But when you live in a third world country the internet is really bad, so I came into my office to post and with photos.

This is one of the rarest sets’ that you will see with Iron Cross First Class. Marcus gave the envelope a thumb’s up when I posted on the “Package Forum”. Both the envelope and cross have the maker’s stamp L/II (Deumer). As you can see the original packing material is still with the cross and envelope. I have tried to take good clear pictures of all aspects of the set, but if you want other photos please ask and will try and get a good picture for you. I am working with a digital and have macro capability, but when I get close you will see the shadow of the camera.

Very interesting indeed, this packet dosen't prescribe to known fakes of this class and by all accounts pertains to an accepted and thought genuine sort !


I confess the L/11 Ldo maker stamp is odd (odd: unconventional) in the scheme of things, something you don't encounter to often but indeed a possible combination as seen on other Ldo maker packets of sorts with a designation, but seldom in connection with an Iron Cross packet of any class (some late forms certainly like small EK2 packets, devoid of proper desigantion)


An interesting pair I'm yet to own and would like to look at more.
