Curios EK 2 mm "48"

Hi all,
i got this 3 piece magnetic Iron Cross 2. Class, maker marked "48" in the ring. But the maker 48 is not listed as a EK maker, is that right ? To me it looks authentic. Any opinions ?

With these pics, I dont see anything that says bad cross...but I do not really like the look of the "48". Seems to be in italics, and too modern compared to other known maker marks.
May need more investigating?

I totally agree with Hank's comments. I thought the maker marked looked funny myself. however mm1 ek2's look just as bad!!!

Hello,

I know only one manufacturer who had made crosses with slight round frame corners and this one do not come from him.
I venture to say it is a matter of a reproduction.
