I am not an expert on Knights Crosses - like a lot of people on this forum I am learning about them.

Bearing this in mind, the RK you are asking about looks like an S&L, (Steinhauer & Luck), with the 'flaws' in the rim. I can certainly see 'flaws' in the 3 O clock and 6 O clock arms on the obverse and the reverse.

and hope that someone with a really good first hand knowledge of these crosses answers you - someone like Dietrich Maerz, George Stimson or Peter Wiking to name but three, (and are there others as well).
