German Cross in silver questions

I am wondering if any of you can help me with two questions:
1. where I can find the detailed conditions for bestowal of the German cross? the complete text of ‘’Reichsgesetzblatt’’ of 2 October 1941
(Teil I, Nummer III)
2. How rare a German cross in silver is and how much cost one now?

Hello

I can't help you with your first question I'm afraid, but to the second question the answer is that the DKiS are quite rare. To give you a comparison, approximately 30000 DKiG were awarded against only 1200 DKiS. I believe that the DKiS was only awarded to those who already held the War Merit Cross First Class and was for military leadership, but not in the face of the enemy, (source: Third Reich Militaria, Robin Lumsden, revised edition 2003).

As for the cost of these, I have recently seen one for sale at a cost of ******163;1900 GBP. This was for the DKiS only; it had no case with it. As a rough estimate I would expect to pay between ******163;1700 and ******163;2300 GBP for a DKiS depending on condition etc.
