Why would you consider either fake? From the photos, it appears to be a tombak type and a zinc type.

You must kerep in mind the fake is much scarcer than the original when it comes to War Merit Crosses.

Thanks Bob, I did have some concern that the tombak was a repro because it is in such good shape. i have to say that this wed site is great I'm still new at collecting german awards. Thanks for the help.
