Just a question. What happens when members sell their EKs or RKs? They dont come here and say to take them off the total do they?

Likewise one member sells it to another member ... the member that buys it reports it here, the one that sold it doesnt. That would double the count.

Thats precisely what members should do. And In most cases they do. As I have said before(one or two times) that is a part of this project that I cannot control. Besides the occations that the system fails(either way), it doesn't really matter, since still so few people in the forum patricipate and hence it cannot be accurate anyway.
