    case

    Hey Nan SU,

congratulations for the clasps - it's nice to have them complete. Would you mind to put the case for the army clasp in the section for award cases. I've my doubts about this case. I've also a cased one and the case is different to yours. All the cases I've seen so far for the army type are a one piece construction and not two halfes like yours. Also the inlet and the markers mark from Klein Hanau is different and looks like 'homemade'

    greetings Walle

        Hi All,

A nice trio and a real helpful thread. Esp. for cases as it helped answer one of my questions on the Luft / Navy case hinges.

As for the Army one, I see nothing wrong with it. I dare say it's not made to be two detachable halfes. More likely, the cloth "hinge" is torn allowing the top to come off completely.

        Best regards,
        Albert

          Hi Walle & Albert
I think has this kind of two detachable halfes, it is one kind of slight variation. Long time ago, I ever saw under the picture demonstrated the Amry Honor Roll Clasp With Case was selling.
Because it is not our common white removable base plate. In consideration hesitation period, by one is not known name the collector purchased.
I retain the picture, take the collection knowledge the material. May see, this is one kind of simpler two detachable halfes, moreover has the rare black transportable base.
Please allows me to demonstrate the picture.
Should the owner wish me to remove this image, I will, of course, comply.
Invites everybody for me more views, I very happily accept your direction.
          Thanks!

I agree Su, maybe he is right. Many variations exists among the TR order/medal.

              Congratulations! My friend!

This is not a Honour Roll Case, the two half box, this is for an EK spange.

                  Hi Nan Su,

I personally don't have any contentions with your Heer Honour Roll case. I think the base has perhaps been brushed or vaguely cleaned (which has fluffed it up) at some stage to distort the Klein maker marks, the 'K' and three chevrons.

On of my cases is a paper hinge case for Naval Honour Roll, in fact I have two. I'm just thinking, but I'm not sure if I've seen a Klein marked case with a paper hinge (can't remember), interesting but no cause for concern ??? Allan has some of these to, he'll be able to help.

Overall I do like it. I cant see anything that makes me suspect it as a fake as such...in my opinion only.

Can you show a picture on the inside bottom part of the case please.

                    Hi Marcus
I start to think has this kind of style, after but looked your question, I carefully examined my Army one, each one side had in its box interior slightly tears to pieces.
I the picture which already photographed send out, please gave me the opinion.
                    Thanks

Is whether same with the Albert viewpoint?--"More likely, the cloth "hinge" is torn allowing the top to come off completely"
Is my understanding mistake, if the picture cannot the even better help appraisal, Sometimes I can trade the border which angle multi- photographies boxes this has slightly damages, what type please tells me also needs the picture.
                            Thanks

                              Hello,

Yes, it seems the paper / cloth "hinge" has torn as so often on such cases. My Army one looks exactly like yours. The material and construction looks ok. The paper used as backing for insert and for lining of the "bed" is identical and also ok. I will post detailed pics of mine later. Allan's case seems to be exactly of that type too if I remember correctly.

                              Best regards,

                              Albert

No problem with it all, here's my 'paper' hinge.
