I find this entire thread ridiculous, and very misleading. The owner is allowed to sell for whatever price he decides, and only the current market demand will determine if there is a buyer. I suppose the original poster believes he should setting the market prices. Well, what do you have for sale?

Sad that people worry about what others are selling for and complaining about prices. I believe we have many who dislike the free market economy and abhor capitolism.

There are socialist states where the government sets prices as well as wages. Perhaps that is the collecting Eutopia?

I agree with you Bob,the seller is allowed to sell for whatever amount he sees fit,and no,i'm not particularly interested in setting market prices either. All i'm saying is that certain people are sharks who prey on the naive and it's just not on.Just like "loan" sharks or dealers that sell fakes knowingly.Of course, they can do whatever they like in the "free" world but it's not on to target naive beginners or anybody else for that matter.Whatever happened to "fair play".

          Paul said it!

Let's take an example. Let's assume that you don't know sh1t about cars (many people don't), you take it to repair shop and they charge you what ever they want. "aw, but we had to change this and that and now it's cost to you 300% more than normally, it's a free world you see. Why didn't you explicitly specify what we should do, you just said repair that 'klonk' sound and we gave you an estimate, but eventually this 300% more is what you pay or we'll break your knee.".

Case is slightly different, but mindset behind that is the same.

There is no-one on this planet who knows everything about everything. Some people are trying to knowingly rip-off those who don't know, whenever they have a chance.

Mmmmmm, I think I would have got some advice from someone who did know about cars or got a few quotes on what work needed doing.

I often pay tomorrows prices for todays items if the item is of exceptional quality but, to just go into a market without proper knowledge and pay high prices for mediocre items is just plain stupidity regardless of what is being purchased be it EKII's, vehicles, whatever...
