    What about this EK1?

    Hi!

As a greenhorn, I'd like to ask you about the EK1 below. It seems to be an unmarked one and was offered to me for $227.
Is it OK? What about the price?

    Hello,

no doubt with it. It is a Souval cross and good .
To the price: I would say it is not just a bargain.

As Franki said, it is a good war time unmarked Souval cross. They are fairly common so you could do better on the price IMO. Another thing is that being made by Souval some collectors will aviod these crosses. This is due to the large amount of reproductions (crosses and badges) produced by Souval after the war.

I've never worked out pre or post '45 Souval EK1s...
I look for the 'pimple' in the beading, and evidence of frosting (and patina)
they are just my own rules, how does anyone else 'know' pre from post?
btw, going by that, I don't like the beading on this one... and for price, I could find one I felt more '100%' about
        regards
