    Real Rounder??

    Gentlemen,

I do not wish to get caught up in a "is it real, or not" debate. All I wish to know is if this is a "real" rounder.

    Thanks

            Skip,
I'd say it's a fake. The same as in this thread. The # in the beading round the swaz matches exactly.

I believe this is the type most often marked L/12 or 2 and tries to also be a Juncker.

This type of current reproduction is east to recognize because of the asymetrical center, where the 4 inner corners of the beading meet the swastika.

What I DO wonder about is the frosting and how it is applied?

Thanks guys. As I said, no discussion.

I will tell you that it comes from Austria though.

                      Bob,

look at the "800". Frosting inside, this makes me think it's 'painted'. But surely, not a bad job!

                        Skip,

no need to discuss this cross, since no controversy at all!

Do you know since when the "Austrians' made this one?

So this isn't a fake of a rounder as such, more perhaps intended as a fake Juncker perhaps that had the edges filed and rounded, like they period did ?
