Pity to know about it. I am sorry Karlo. I hope you can get your money back and get a good one. I fell afraid to buy items to collect because as a begginer I do not know what I am really buying. However with the help of this forum (its members), and others like this one I think I am learning little by litlte. Still, I do not want to lose my money (work), just like that.

You should listen to the other guys. The cross you show is a known reproduction. The "2" is for Juncker. The die characteristics of a genuine Juncker do not match the one you show. It is easy to identify the reproduction you show by the strongly rounded/curved inner corners.
I told you in another thread a few days ago that i think your cross is a reproduction. Remeber? I am sure now when i see the photos of it. I am sorry but many have been fooled by this reproduction. You are not the first one.
Cheers.

Same type of reproduction. This time it is marked L/52.
This is from the company that sell/produce these reproductions:
Also available with the ".800 20" mark or any other makers mark by special order.
Also available with the standard black painted core, without antique cracking.
Also available "aged" at no extra cost.Attached Files

Hey Karlo, do not be put off by the directness of the responses on this forum! You have just joined the most knowledgeable group of individuals when it come to third reich militaria. They are here to help, and will not pussyfoot around by saying maybe/if/but........They will tell you straight so that you do not waste time and still have a chance to send the item back and retreive your cash. The best place to research is on this forum. Here you will find all makes of the knights cross in highly detailed photos. You can be guaranteed that everyone here has been stung by a repro early on in their collecting career, but by banding together and sharing knowledge,we protect each other from the pitfalls.

I knew about this forum while reading a book by Gordon Williamsom (Wolf pack), and I am happy for that (I am learning a lot here). But in the same time I am getting scare to buy someting.
When I came here for the first time I asked about a HSF kriesgmarine badge. It was a very long "talk" with the guys in the badge forum. In the end by PM a got the answer from three proffesionals from this forum that believe that my badge in original and genuine WWII era. Good for me.
I can understand how Karlo must be felling now, I got the same felling whe my badge was under fire.
I did the same with a KM dagger and a KM helmet in another forum (before knowing about this one), and they pass the fire too
I can not put pictures here and that is the reason I have not put my other items "under fire" here. But, I believe they should pass the fire just as my badge did. Anyway, before wasting my money I will come here ans ask you,
thanks a lot.
