Peter I would agree that the shape of the clasp is similar if not identical. I would disagree that the marks on it are identical, but close yes. The bases are different. I'm realizing that the level of detail in these items is so high in order to determine authenticity that even a slight variation as small as the base may be a clue. that is why I posted it despite feeling that it may be wrong...but thanks for looking and adding to the discussion. I think it is clear now...I'll move on.

Compare the hardware on the bronze version of yours that was turned down with your silver version. Same style on catch and hinge on both of them. Even down to the dents and scratches.

Inherited collection. I have no further knowledge. They are fake. I thought I would post to confirm it. They are what they are. maybe someone wants them as a filler piece until they can afford a real one. cheers
