I think this was a control substance for the test. Alternately, it makes a good rub for pulled muscles...

Dietrich has made the most intellectually honest statement:

"It is unfortunate that we (as pro-Rounders) did not find any conclusive evidence for pre-45, even by trying hard over a long period of time."

He is right - the problem is everyone wants a black or white answer and we are just not there yet.

I think you miss the point. A match is 100%. NO match was found. Close is not the magic of this science. The magic of this science is its ability to be exact.

Given millions of data points, NOT ONE matched. THAT IS THE ISSUE. Tom did NOT find a match as promised. This leaves him with mud on his face.

Given the literally thousands of patents of epoxy based materials, NOT ONE was matched. It is absolutely not unusual to find one CLOSE. But, no cigar.

Sorry, this is a complete loss for Tom. A complete win for the Rounders. 95% is irrelevant to this science and we know that.

Has anybody thought about Eindecker2's comment about the fallout? It sounds very feasible and an easier way to test pre and post '45 items.
Original pre '45 crosses that have been cleaned in soap and water would not show the same results as post '45 manufactured items.
It seems the perfect test for the results we are looking for with the Third Reich militaria.
Any comments?

Feasable an more certain yes - however practical - no. There is no testing facility that my father knows of that coudl do this. Probably the equipments and the testing chambers used for the test are sitting in some military warehouse collecitng dust. YOu woudl have to manufacture two vaccume chambers with highly sensitive gyger counters. Then you woudl have to find the levels of current radiation in the equipment (i.e. does one chamber have more radioactivity than the other? etc...) then once you have your base then you can test, but you have to sit and wait and wathc for not a day or two - but litterally weeks as we are talking about very low leves of radiation. However it would be very precise with as my father put it 100% accuracy. You can mess with paint - you cant mess with fallout. (how in the world are you going to pull radioactive particles out fo the core? you can repaint the cross all you want. it still emits the same leves of radiation!)
