i like your cross. the maker should be Steinhauer und Lück/Lüdenscheid "4" "L/16".

do you think it is real? What do I need to find to identify the maker. My photo of the stamp is poor, sorry. Is it worth anything?

It's a War Merit Cross w/Swords, First Class......Appears to be zinc with silver wash.....$65-75 w/o etui......Bodes

yes, it's a good one. try to read the number in the small box on the pin. it must be a "4". thats the code for the firm Steinhauer und Lück/Lüdenscheid who was one of the biggest firms to produce medals and decorations. (during ww2 until nowadays)
