Hello- I am not sure if this is the right forum to ask this question, but the attached photo's come from an unknown RK winners ceremony. I don't the the person, unit or even location (outside of the Med) but I've seen similar photos of a ceremony at Eleusis Greece. My question is there a "regulation" formation for awarding the RK or did each unit have the authority to do it any way they wanted provided they were not directly at the front. This photo shows a band on the left then the award winners then a honor guard with flag then an assembled unit. How typical arrangement was this. Thanks for any help

Knights cross Ceremony
Is there no one out there that can tell me how a ceremony for the awarding of a Knights Cross was conducted? Was there any governing "regulation" on the ceremony or was each unit allowed to conduct them any way they chose? Our own military has general guidelines for conducting awards ceremonys so that they are about the same from base to base. Thanks Dirk
