    DKiG help!

Hello guys! Although I haven't studied these in detail I have provided my opinion to a friend who picked this up yesterday!

As a 'back-up' I'd like the opinion of the fellows who know the ins and outs of these

Your suspicions are correct! What is the maker mark that they have on that one, anyway? Do you have any better detailed photos of the wreath and date? I think it is always good to catalog these, as I do not recall that particular one being posted on the fake thread.

Thanks Tom! The makeer mark is '1' with a '21' on the back of the pin....it's described as 'heavy' as compared to a Zimmermann

Dave, as you know I am a uniform guy, but the wreath gives me pause, for a couple of reasons... I wil let some of the other experts register their thoughts.

A "1" with a "21"? I think they were a little confused. The rivets, hinge and pin are really bad. The style of catch is seen on alot of fakes, but some period S&Ls. The wreath looks quite rough from the photos given and the swaz looks "miniturized" relative to other DKiGs. Again, more photos would be nice to see some details.

                Hi dear Dave,

my opinion absolutely no way to be an original cross, sorry.

The "patina" and gunblue color of the wreath is enough alone to run away.
                  Not a genuine cross.

                  Cheers.
