    very weird/interesting
    looks definately worn-on-the-batlefield!
the wreath and disc looks like they've been taken off, and the ek is very high, a frankenstein of different '39 repros? now changed to '57s because they stand a better chance of selling?

      Hi,

I have to agree - there are many strange things about this cross. I've never seen a laid down block hinge on any DK before and the main pin looks a bit too wide and "bendy". The entire reverse looks "soft" and that EK is way oversize. Not for me.

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

        BINGO !

        Got it Jon !

Yep the EK centre has replaced the swastika of a repo , if you look carefully at the photo you can see where the swastika used to sit on the disc just to the right of the right arm of the cross .

Never seen an early DKIG or DKIS with the set up like this .

Bet it goes for silly money

yeah, bet it goes for more than a repro '39!
A novel idea on the part of the fakers: as knowledge grows surrounding real/fake '39s, go fishing in the relatively cloudy waters of 1957
