It is - from what I can see - an 800 marked B-Type. It is not an early war model rather very, very late to say the least. Maybe too late.
I personally have a problem with every B-Type that has no '4' on it, but that's just me.
So let me put it this way: It is a cross manufactured by S&L ....but when?

Dietrich, would the fact that its NOT magnetic help take any lingering doubt away??

That is of course if you really had any....
                    Regards,
                    Dave

                      Dave,

this is funny! I was just looking and just found that out! Even the price tells a story, doesn't it?

                      An unmagnetic B-Type! No way!

I like it and have no problems with it, ferrous centered or not.

                          Bob,

that might very well be that you like it and that is fine! It's definetely an S&L and for that you can like it. However, if you like pieces that are manufactured before May 1945 (i.e. original 3rd Reich examples) I would not fall in very deep love with this one.

The price alone is telling! Some time ago, this would have been a very rare unissued pre-LDO example. Gone are the days!

Bob, why do you like it and please explain how a non-magnetic core would show up way after the PK demands for IRON?
                            Regards,
