          Hi

          Hi there.

I could be wrong and am very happy to be proved so but the 134 maker mark on this badge does not seem like the norm to me. The vertical line on the 4 looks unusually short and the spacing between the 1 and the 3 a bit excessive. The 1941 doesn't look right to me either.

            Part 2

It's not implausible that there was more than one maker mark stamp though.

            Any more views?

              Hello

Yes indeed the number (134) are a little differned. But does that mean the compleet cross is bad?

                Hi,

I believe Detlev featured a 134 DKiG in his "repro of the week" section earlier in the year. From the images, it looks like the milweb example Nick has posted is one of these repros. Detlev gave the dimensions of the repro as W: 62,61 g H: 62,73 mm Weight: 44,37 g and indicated that it was just a little too small when compared to originals, but otherwise one of the best DKiG repros he'd seen!

I hope Detlev will not mind if I post the images of the repro he featured to aid in this discussion.

                Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

                  Hi nick,

personally I would not like to buy it.

I find not right marked mark, pin and hinge and rivets are not exactly as known examples of this maker, and I don't like the colour of the disk under the svastika.

                  ...but just my opinion!

                    Howdy

                    Hi there.

I have to admit this DK is certainly exceptional quality and at first glance looks fine.

BUT in this game even the slightest deviations from the norm ring alarm bells, especially when we're taking not insignificant sums of money.

To me...the maker mark is wrong. The numerals are the wrong shape, badly spaced and the recess they rest in is more squat than what I have seen.

The 1941 numerals are again odd looking.

The pin to me has a slight but definite swell in the middle that is just that little bit more than textbook examples.

I don't have a problem with the rivets and the hinge looks ok so if you're out there Ivan can you let me know why you think they're bad.

                    Cheers

these kind of rivets are not difficult to repro, but I feel the Klein's firm rivets are a bit differents, .........only my opinion.

the rivets of the first DK shown, look like Zimmermann DK heavy type.

follow are rivets of a Klein's DK

                        Hello,

                        Thanks for the help.
Also the price is wrong. 999$ for a DKiG mm134 is not much.
Well up to an other one.

Cheers Ivan...an interesting point on the Klein rivets.
