    Markings

Hi I am a new in using this form so here it goes.
    First hi to all.
Do the Markings L/15 or any other using the "L/" on Iron Cross First Class have on the pin L/15 or L15 on them.
    thanks for your help Raul

    Hi Raul,

First of all, welcome Raul to the forum.

The markings you mention stand for Otto Schickle in Pforzheim.
Otto Schickle marked his Iron Crosses First Class on the pin with the mark "L/15", but the omission of the slash between the "L" and the "15" so in fact "L15" is very uncommon but not unknown.

      Hi,

L15, without the slash, is commonly found on recent reproductions. I suggest you perform a search for L15 on the forum as the repros have been discussed recently.

I looked in the form and found alot of info on L15
I am very concerned I may have a repro, I have E-mailed the
person I bought the the IC1 from and stated my concerns.
I do not have the capability of sending pictures.

After looking through the previous threads it does appear to be a repro.

                    Hi Kevin,

I agree, Raul's cross looks like one of the repros. The description of the case sounds like the case is genuine though.

                      Hi,
Sorry to say but 100% repro! I think I know which dealer you got this off as I saw it on his site and I was very surprised to see it being sold as an original. Goes to show that there is no substitute for research and asking plenty of questions. Good luck in the future with your collecting,

                      Brett
