Need help authenticate WW1 2nd class

Hi all,
I have a chance to buy this WW1 cross second class
I am still finding my way around in the dark with these,
is this a repo or real and if its real how much would be a far price for such a piece

It looks good to me. It should be of a three piece construction and the center should be magnetic (similar to the 1939 variety).

The prices of these are slowly going up but I still think you shouldn't be paying anymore than $35US.

Hello Peter

Looks like a nice original EK, you will find these are quite inexpensive and you can pick these up for around $60 - $90 Australian. Although silver content marked pieces and EKs marked from rarer makers will cost you a bit more if the person selling it knows this.
