Dietrich- your article was actually an article- one that I really like by the way, because like any good theory, additional data reinforces the presumption. It is a good piece of work.

This would be more observational and not much of a theory. However, a compilation of initial SEM data, photos and IR spec data may be interesting and I could incorporate all that. Let's see what the IR spec shows. I will report exactly what the people say, one way or another.

Your detractors may probably say: "not the most objective method; analysing your own rounder that you paid thousands for" but I like it.

I'd still pursue the loaner option so you have 2 rounders to put forward for the same $600 scan (can you do 2 for 1?) that way it would seem a more "scientific" study....what ever that means
