I don't see what's wrong with the one you're showing, but here's another one (kinda dark).

      a better pic

Here's a better picture of the same Schinkel-form EK 2 on the left, a standard ("65" Klein & Quenzer) in the middle, and an Ubergrosse on the right.

in WAD,it says"much narrower arms, a smaller swastika and smaller numbers", but i can't find the arms is norrower, the swastika is smaller or the numbers is smaller

Replace the word "much" with "somewhat" and take another look.

            Hi Segmund;

Not to further confuse the situation but there also is a Schinkel version with a much smaller swaz too. I don't have a photo of one but I believe Kai Winkler has one on his site. In addition to the 2nd Class, there also is a 1st Class version and a Knights Cross version.
            Best regards,

            Tony

another comparison. regular on the left, shinkel on the right.

Is it just me, or are some of these Shinkel crosses more slimmer than others?

                    Mark,

No, it's not just you. The second one I posted is a lot more noticably slim than the first.

                      Confusing, isn't it (?)

                      Hello Mark,
As I see from the comment you wrote over the "comparrison picture" I can tell you also find it hard to tell the difference....

                            Schinkelform "B" Cross

                            Hi Segmund,
according to " The IRON CROSS of 1939 " by Gordon Williamson/R.James Bender Publishing/ISBN#:0-912138-86-6/p.65, you may find the same photo of the same cross which you've posted above. This one should be a Schinkelform "B" & please note the "tails" to the numeral "9" lack the normal upcurve.
                            Best regards,
                            Joseph
