    EK1 Opinions

    Hi all,

I was wondering what you thought of this EK1 on sale by Weitze. It has this description "Eisenkern, hersteller: L/13 an Nadel, Zustand 2"

Translated I think means Iron centre, marker marked L/13 on pin.

      Hey,

Thanks for the response. I was conerned about the top corners, they seem different from the rest of the award.

        Resoldered corners??

        George

Do you think the top corners may have been resoldered at some time? As the colour is very different.

        Regards,

        Neil

          maybe

Somebody could have monkeyed around with it. I have a couple of EK 1s that have been re-soldered.

            Hi,
Looking at the reverse, it appears that there are crimp marks so it's very possible some kind of repair work may have been done. Here are some photos of my L/13. Note the die crack flaws in the beading. Also the makers mark which you can't see in my photos is in about the same location as the one pictured.
