KVK1 w/o Swords - L15 - Fake or Real?

I looked through some old threads on the L15 KVK's, saw some opinions on whether there are originals that existed or not. Many of the photos are no longer available for comparison. Appreciate some opinions on this, there is a brassy look to the obverse and I assumed fake. Appreciate the opinions,

It does not look like the hinge and catch are attached to the cross with plates. If that's the case, I would avoid it.

Hi George, thanks you confirmed what I suspected. My guess is Floch. It was unavoidable. The cross came in a grouping that I bought, could not pick it out.

When you say that it came in a grouping, do you just mean that it came in a group of stuff, or did it come in a group attributed to an individual?

Hi George - No, it came in a small collection I bought, but it was an all or none type deal. It was factored into my offer. If it was a Vet one, that would cause me alarm!

Your's is definitely the dreaded Floch fake. Only the L15's like the one Larry posted are ok. Notice the backplate behind the hinge.
