DKiG to Spanka?

Hello,

I have a document (27 jan. 1942) regarding SS-Hauptstrumführer Otto Spanka's nomination/suggestion to Btl.-Kommandeur. In that letter it's mentioned that he had been suggested to the DKiG.

My question is if he actually got the DKiG and when?
In what book might I find this reference?
