kvk, seen this mm?

Hi!
I own a KVK without swords which is maker marked L/13 under one of its arms . I did not know there were crosses marked this way.
Have anyone else seen this? Is it common?

( I posted this thread just a little while ago but something went wrong and I have no idea where it did go)

Please I need some help. Was it marked this way simply because there is not enough room to stamp it in the ring?
Are these LDO marked 2nd class crosses common?

There was an L/13 4yr service medal on a bar posted on the general awards forum a few days ago, again stamped at the bottom. IMO yours is entirely correct and very unusual but unfortunately the mark will add no premium to the value of the medal.
