EK1 on the "used market "

Hi guys
On Sunday I was on the a so called " used market " and already long ago not found nothing, but now found a little small size legacy.
Unfortunately the legacy was not complete because they had already bought a lot of things in front of me ,than example helmet, documents, badges, maps ect...., but there I found this cross in his box.

This the cross interesting for me ,because although original, it was disassembled and the swastika have removed, the inner core magnetic ,but repainted and assembled ( re-soldered )

On the cross good see ,that the re-soldered it didn’t get the best as the edges weren’t perfect
(this can be seen in the pictures)
the needle, on the other hand, was sharpened for some reason

When I arrived at home, I then better saw the the cross I noticed that the inner core does not match the manufacturer who actually made the cross, as there is an L / 50 (Godet ) marking on the back of the cross, but the core is a typical Friedrick Orth type.
Therefore I thought that shared here on the side ,that what do you think about it ?

I beleave that the sharpening of the pin was to push it through the tunic, as opposed to having loops sewn onto it.

it seems rely odd that one would take it apart to DE NAZI FEY it. as opposed to grinding / filling the swastika off.

I collect De-Nazified crosses and I'd have to go look, but I think I have some that have been similarly dissembled, swastika removed, and then reassembled. Given how most de-nazified crosses turned out, it was quite difficult to get the swastika off of the cross without causing serious damage to the piece that made it look bad in wear or might even destroy the piece altogether. Most worked with the tools at hand and I've got some pieces where it looks like the veteran took a rock and chisel to just hammer the swastika out of existence while others are cut out with surgical precision.

In this case, have a look at the core of his cross. You can see the lateral striations that I would guess came from a band saw or other type of tool. My guess is that this guy had his cross dissembled, the core was laid flat, and the swastika shaved off. Then the core was repainted but the saw marks stand out. As for the mixed parts, here is a guess. Perhaps this cross was done in a cottage industry type shop that was known to de-nazify awards for veterans to wear in public without breaching the law. This cross came in and during the process either the frame or original core was damaged too badly to be used. The jeweler would probably have had a parts bin that he could dip into for a fresh frame or replacement core. Once de-nazified and reassembled, I doubt the veteran would take out his loupe and shout: "Wait! You've given me an Orth Core with a Godet Frame!"

Just some thoughts. Nice piece with good character by the way.

Thx the comment , yes this could also be a solution.
1. Nd -here is my other ( Mayer with mm 26 ) type ,here the hook too have repaired
2. Nd - EK1 L/54 - they tried to remove the swastika
