    EK2, "5" Hermann Wernstein Jena-Lobstedt

    Dear Friends,

When starting to photograph new items, I noticed I got EK2 with maker mark not seen before - "5" = Hermann Wernstein Jena-Lobstedt. I Promised to Thomas to post pictures, so here we go!

For EK2 collectors...I would be happy to sell this EK...but it has some friends - it is part of the finnish NCO medal bar from WW2....
...I hate these stickers that are used in Central European shows to cover swastika...

    EK2's:
    Measurements: 45 x 45 mm,
    Weight: 18,60 grams

    More to come...

    Jani

Obverse - close up. Look how right the "1939" is - last number is almost under the edge.

And the maker mark. Very clear number 5.

          Thanks for looking!

            Floch fake?????

            Now this made me curious???

            http://www.wehrmacht-awards.net/foru...6&page=2&pp=15

This group is vet pick up and in that other thread same(?) is said to be Floch fake

I just wonder how the hexx the finnish veteran got Flochs EK2...though I see that my cross has small differences at the first sight, but exactly the same maker mark...

            Mixed up,

            Jani

              Hi Jani,

Thanks for posting pictures of the cross. I also see some differences compared with the cross posted by Brad (date 1939 is different). Your cross looks more like the cross posted by Peter Wiking in the same thread.

I'm also wondering how it got on you finnish veteran medal bar.

              Maybe George can help you.

              Greetings, Thomas

                Terve Jani (Hi Jani),

one thing strikes me as odd regarding that medalbar. Every single finnish award on it seems to be in Mint condition except the Homefront cross that has the typical missing red centerpiece.

Damn stickers, would love to see those Liberty Crosses better!
                Regards
                Hans N
