    Hi Jeff,

Can't really comment on the cross, but the clasp is no where near Juncker.
Imo it's bad all the way.

      A complete fake unfortunately.

      Here's the real L/12 deal

Thanks guys. I found it on a dealers site and compared it to the one in Dietrich and George Stimson's book and it was not a match at all. Anyway, since these are seldom seen I thought it would be a good one to discuss.

I've always wanted one of these for my collection but never met one about who's originality I was confident. Sadly, I've seen many fakes that incorporate either an original 1914 EKI or an original Spange paired with a reproduction component and that makes the identification process that much more difficult. You find yourself wanting to squint at it sideways and justify why either the cross or the spange looks wonky but the other piece is good, so maybe it has a chance...wishful thinking and just asking for buyer's remorse. What a minefield! So I've never pulled the trigger on one.

I agree with the others, that is not a genuine Juncker clasp and cross.
The spange appears to be a fake based upon the Eugen Schmidthaussler design.
The cross might be a genuine KO. Do you have pictures with the needle open?
I'm curious if there are traces from hinge removal.
