    New Schinkel

Hi everyone, look what I got today. My first Schinkel, an almost mint EKII with non-magnetic core. Looks like swastika is off shape and overpinted. I guess is the model itself.

It's amazing how many of the these Schinkels have dinged beading on the 12 oclock arm (either Obverse or Reverse). Wonder why?

            Nice piece BTW

It's because the cross has been badly packaged and then shipped with the ribbon ring over the frame.

It has then has gone and been flattened by a heavier item during transit or has been crushed by the post office sorting rollers.

                Regards ...

The problem is not so much the postie but the packing carried out by the person selling and posting on the cross.

This damage is the first thing I check for when I buy an EKII these days...

                    Regards ...

Thanks everyone for your comments. I checked the pictures when the EK was for sale, before it was sent to me and the marks on the 12 oclock arm were already there.
