One of my first purchases for my collection back in '78. I have my opinion on this but would like some additional ones. Thanks in advance.

Imo not a wartime original.

Wasn't it S&L that hat these little circles on some of their post-war badges?

The finish on the reverse and the style of the bird (paws in particular) remind me of S&L very much, but the headis completely different.

Whatever it is, it's not a wartime original to me.

Not everybody collects them, and from my experience collectors are a bit insecure when it comes to clasps.

But I presume the usual suspects will chine in !
