I agree it has post-WW2 hardware but the original intent can only be speculation. Purchased by a veteran to replace a lost/stolen wartime award, made for collectors, made to deceive collectors, who is ever going to know. Bottom line, without any provenance, it is what is is NOW - a post-WW2 made KVK1.
