        Really nice !
        Lacquered early W&L frames you do not find that often . Looks like a steel core ?
        I have the matching EK1 to yours . To protect the silver plated frame from tarnishing - it was coated with lacquer .
        Usually over time the lacquer comes off .

            The core is magnetic.
            So steel.
