    EK1 Spange Maker/Catch Help

    Hello,

I got this 1st class spange a few months back. I havn't been able to ID the maker. Partly because the catch opens to the left when viewed from the reverse. I was thinking that maybe this was a repair, but it looks pretty clean. Any thoughts?

    Best Regards,

The date looks like a Deumer but the beak doesn't match the examples I've seen nor does the hardware IMO.

You could do a search here for Deumers to see if you can find a good match.

At first glance I said fake, but looking through my unknown spanges it is an Unknown Maker. Jim

Thanks Jim. I was thinking unknown maker, but have been having a hard time finding this configuration/hardware etc. I picked it up a while back from Paul Hogle at LST and he is by far the best dealer I have purchased from. Thanks again!

        Cheers,
        Sterling

IMO, it is from an unknown maker. The catch has likely been re-attached.
Here is my example with the catch opening to the right.
