EK1 with rear inscription - Legit?

EK1 without maker, rear inscribed as Hauptman Walter Liebing, awarded 2.9.41.
Is this legit or postwar? Thoughts please.

Walter Paul Liebing (12 August 1912 – 18 October 1998) was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant in the Fallschirmjäger during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.

I don't know about the cross, but the engraving is completely fake. 'Hauptman'?

That is not the sort of engraving anyone should feel comfortable with.

Even the Frontovik would have had in 1945 said to the Frontkämpfer, that there are some issues with that engraving.

I declined to bid on the auction today. Perhaps the EK1 was period, the buyer bought at £195. I'm grateful for the opinions on the inscription - an attempted to boost its value in the past?

Everything about the cross is fake, not a good one at all.
