How do you pronounce his name?
Floch as in Flock of Birds
Floch as in Flawsh (as Wash my car)
You always see it printed ... no one ever repeats the word "live"

Hello George,
Thanks for moving this EKI here for discussion. I had already sent the seller a PM asking him to do the same. I agree with Darrell and Calvin. The cross looks to be an Austrian reproduction by Floch, and as far as I know, L73 is not a good LDO number.

I agree. More effort was put into that pin. It looks more convincing than the pins found on most of the Floch fakes.

Darrel,
great thread.
i already read that before.
Again, where is the beef !
Did Floch, ever document that he made these?
I didn't see anything that looks like a 73 mark on that thread.
Come on guys, if you are going to call it a fake, back it up !
proove the the membership as to why it is bad. Gut feeling don't count.
i don't mind at all if it's a fake, but give up the proof !

Four things that stand out on this one:
1. Low date and slightly tilted 9.
2. the shape of the pin is a floch style even though it now appears the edges are tapered instead of the usual sharpe edging typical of a Floch.
3. There are no references to a LDO maker L/73
4. Pin catch appears to be the Floch style.
"Where are the facts got any documents to proove your views?"
Bob I believe it is up to the seller to justify the authenticity of an item he is selling. Do you have documentation of an LDO maker L/73?

Bob,
yours has the same frame and core with the same beading as the Floch copies. Floch copies are found with several markings. As an example as a pin back with L15 or L11 and as a screw back as L/21. All the same beading but different companies?
If you go to the SOS you might be able to buy those type of crosses retail from Mr. Windbiel. Some are like new, some have the typical orange Floch rust on it.
Dietrich
P.S.: I have two Floch's also

Why many old and quite new references lists L/73 as a maker of EK1?

I still need EK1's L/14 Screwback and Pinback.
