Can't tell from these crappy pictures, but if you want to play hazzard with your mony I would say 75% sure its good. These aren't that rare, but have been faked, and usually goes for noo more than 140$ depending on condition and basemetal. If you don't have mony to throw away I would by one from the e-stand or wait for better pics.

To my knowledge L43 is not a known manufacturer number.

You were right, the seller misstated the number. It is "43" and not "L/43." I'm including the pics I just made for verification of authenticity. It resembles the other "43"s that were previously posted, except that the catch on this medal is not circular. It may have been pushed down by the original owner, so it fits flat on the uniform. That or it was smushed in the mail. The catch itself is not soft, and looks to be quite hard to bend.
