I share your enthusiasm! I have had these OLS since the 70s & have grown rather attached to them. The earlier pieces are the most desireable IMO. If I ever grow old on them I will let you know first.Originally posted by Harry

Eric, I reckon it is a copper core, as there are a few tiny specks of green where ther is some oxidation. I reckon a copper based material similar to coinage........Comment

Here is my 2nd type early RK worn by a Ritterkreuztrager . Still wish i had a 1st type though . But this is still miles away in quality from the last crappy ones .Comment

Those look very similar to the one I posted. From what I have been told the Oaks and Swords are the correct 57 short type, it has been bent to elongate it as often happened.Originally posted by Erickn
