Seriously though, I have been looking for one of those early '57 O&S sets for ages....

I love these early '57 awards........Here is my favourite, again from the RKt's estate (Fritz Burkhardt). Wartime leftover frames (?) from K&Q.........

I share your enthusiasm! I have had these OLS since the 70s & have grown rather attached to them. The earlier pieces are the most desireable IMO. If I ever grow old on them I will let you know first.

Awesome K&Q you have there w/ the unusual small leave cluster. Core appears to be copper or brass?? Added bonus known RKT! You do have the best!!

                    Best regards,
                    Erickn

Eric, I reckon it is a copper core, as there are a few tiny specks of green where ther is some oxidation. I reckon a copper based material similar to coinage........

Here is my 2nd type early RK worn by a Ritterkreuztrager . Still wish i had a 1st type though . But this is still miles away in quality from the last crappy ones .

Those look very similar to the one I posted. From what I have been told the Oaks and Swords are the correct 57 short type, it has been bent to elongate it as often happened.

All 925 pieces, from what I have been able to find out are modern pieces made in the UK, the 925 being the mark for Sterling Silver.
