          Looks perfectly good to me.

One strange thing from the photo's, the 800 frame stamp looks back to front?

Looks good to me - I have to admit it is the first time I have seen the '800' stamped upside down? Any comments from other members.

Have you performed a blacklight test on the red stiching on the crossover point were the original ribbon is stiched to the elastic.

What is the story? Is there any provenance - do you know who this RK belonged to?

            Just curious - nice pictures.

Looks like a good K&Q to me, but it is the first one I have seen with the backwards 800 stamp. Maybe the guy who stamped it had a few to many "grosse biers" the night before Cheers...Jeff

I bought the 65RK from Kai Winkler and don't know who it belongs to, the size is quite standard. The upside down stamped “800” made me curious, so I sent it's photo to the web to get some comments on it ( please note, the “800” stamp on the picture of RK on the page of 311 of IRON CROSS 1939 by Gordon Williamson is also upside down), I'm anxious to get your comments on what makes it like this and whether it's the original one, thank you very much!

IMHO there can be no doubt that the frame and core strike are from original accepted K&Q dies.

As for the 800, it would have to be put down to a mistake in manufacture.

My K&Q has an unstamped frame althought I believe the frame is silver.

                      Regards,
                      Russell.

Thanks very much for all your comments and responses. After carefully study and thought I believe it no doubt to be the original one, if a manufacture can reproduce it so wonderfully, how can he make such a mistake to stamp ”800” upside down, thanks again for the explanation by Russell.

                          Hi JC,

Nice K&Q Ritterkreuz . I wouldn't worry about the 800 stamp being upside down. Most 935 4 marked S&L KC's are marked upside down, but can also be encountered with the 935 4 upside.

                          Greetings, Thomas

                            JC,

Your english has gone from very bad to perfect in a very short period of time (8 days)

How did you learn to speak perfect english so quickly, as my Chinese wife would like to know your secret?

                            Brett

You should study Chinese for your wife.
ask your wife to learn how to use traslation software. if further questions, you can ask my sister, she is in Melbourne.
