Hello, here is a EK1 with no mm. Could you please, have a look and tell me your opinion? How could I remove the rust around "1939" or stop it?

Hello,
as far as I can see it is a K&Q cross.
Rust you can stop with a little bit of oil.

I'm not to keen on the idea of putting oil on the cross.... Best idea is to not touch it and just store it in a dry and safe place
