Hello everyone,
I thought I’d ask a few questions about a set of oak leaves that a local collector/dealer has for sale. It is a cased set oak leaves marked 900 and L12. I was wondering if this set of oak leaves is a genuine WW2 era issued set. Looking through a number of references, I did not see this combination (900 and L12) documented. They looked quite convincing to me and exhibited characteristics of a WW2 original set. There was no glow to the case and ribbon. The set was obtained from a veteran at a local Militaria show. I am posting several photos for viewing.
From reading other posts on oak laves, I am aware of all of the restrikes, reproductions and fakes.
Thanks for reading and I would appreciate any thoughts regarding.
