Adolph, I'm not so sure I agree with the other comments on the first KVK in question. The reverse setup is a textbook match. I agree the obverse details look a little wierd, but I'm not inclined to give it the until I see a few more pics of the obverse (from straight on - preferably scanned pictures as well).
The "4" you just showed is a good S&L Zincer
As well ... the second one a "1" texbook Deschler good as well
The first KVK you showed is the problematic one, the other 2 seem nice and original.
The first one has IMO a totally strange design. I have never seen varaitions on this, although the pin, as mentioned (and maybe repaired) resembles good '50's...
The front looks crazy to me!
Is it... (and this is a mad theory, as I have no '50' KVKX's on file to compare) a KVKX with swords removed?!
regards
jon

Could be the picture jon ... it is, afterall, vaulted so it may have tended to destort the view. I'd still like to see a real nice clear photo from striaght on.

I´ll take the pictures as soon as I´m at home, thanks.
Thanks so much for your comments, has been a great help. While I take pics of the KVK mm50, I would like to ask you about the KVK mm4. Why the pin is diferent color, and the mm shouldn´t be a bit more clear, better stamped? And finally why there´re some mistakes on the edges and the pin itself at the back?
I always listened that III reich awards were all very good made and even inspected, Am I right?
KVK1 A2--
Adolph ... nothing to worry about. It is a good 4. Here's one I used to own. The pins quite often are different color, because the badge is made of zinc, the pin is not.
Don;t worry about some of the finishing on the edges. These were later war made pieces. Quality suffered at this time.
Here are some more photos of the KVK1 w/o swords mm50 in question. I can´t take closer photos, so far that´s the I can do. Let me know if you need more shots, anything to find out a way to this cross.
